1. Coffee
All guests will expect to see coffee as part of the in-room refreshment offer, however when confronted with limited space and equipment it is particularly hard to get right.

2. Tea
A selection of teas is essential to a good refreshment tray. At a minimum, we recommend a black tea and a decaf equivalent (we of course recommend Yorkshire Tea and Yorkshire Tea Decaf as great all-rounders), plus a couple of popular fruit and herbal teas such as Peppermint and Chamomile.
3. Presentation
The refreshment tray is a part of the hotel room that guests will use repeatedly throughout their stay, so ensure that everything is easy to find, well presented and that the tray itself is good quality and looks premium. A couple of freshly picked flowers in a small vase, or a hand-written welcome note on the tray will really show you’ve gone the extra mile.
4. Fresh Milk
Fresh, cold milk is the ideal accompaniment to proper tea and coffee, and will add a premium feel to your refreshment tray.
5. Biscuits
When done well, biscuits can be a real highlight of the refreshment tray. Locally produced biscuits are a thoughtful option, or consider handmade, which will undoubtedly delight guests. Present them in a jar for an elegant touch.
