At the Chapel, a restaurant with its own artisan bakery, Winestore and 8-bedrooms, offers something different for those looking for that break to explore the sites of Somerset.

It is housed in a beautiful Grade-II 17th Century former chapel and has a stunning, south facing outdoor terrace. Situated on the high street in the trendy Somerset town of Bruton it offers a true escape with the wow factor of staying in a former chapel.

There are 8 contemporary and luxurious bedrooms above the restaurant. No two rooms are exactly the same but each offers a tranquil space to retreat with marble-wrapped baths or shower rooms and Bramley toiletries. All rooms have a king-size bed, Egyptian cotton bedlinen, HD Smart TV, tea and coffee-making facilities, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, safe and free Wi-Fi.

For those looking for local produce the kitchen At the Chapel uses only the best West Country ingredients and brings a Mediterranean approach to British food. It is all about simple, seasonal ingredients that are sourced locally and the head chef works closely with local, organic and biodynamic growers, farmers and cheesemakers as well as some of the best Italian suppliers, to offer a relaxed and informal Mediterranean approach to British food.

If you visit in summer, you can sit outside on the Jasmine-scented, sun-drenched terrace. Its Winestore has a range of carefully selected, small estate wines so you can take a taste of At the Chapel back home.  These real wines, are made by hand with minimal intervention in the vineyard winery and show maximum respect for nature and the environment.

At the Chapel brings together local creatives and speakers from around the world with a programme of cultural events, including a series of book and film releases, as well as talks and discussions.
