Penally Abbey

Penally

A cosy hotel, overlooking the sea, Penally Abbey has been a true labour of love for the Boissevain family.

Husband and wife team Lucas and Melanie alongside two of their three children Saskia and Jacques have created 12 beautiful bedrooms in this boutique hotel and restaurant.

Since the family took on the hotel in 2014, it has had several extensive refurbishments resulting in the calming country house it is today, highlighting its beautifully proportioned and sympathetically designed bedrooms that complement the style of the building.

Nestled in acres of woodlands and gardens in the pretty village of Penally, just over a mile from the historic Tenby and on the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park, Penally Abbey is intimate and relaxed with its snug drawing room, bright and airy sunroom, all culminating in a venue that offers one of the warmest welcomes in Wales.

Guests can also eat in style at the twinkly restaurant Rhosyn – a beautiful dining space for all, showcasing some of the best produce Pembrokeshire has to offer with unpretentious dishes to be enjoyed in stunning surroundings.

The restaurant was awarded a Good Plate award by the Michelin Guide in 2019, continuing to receive it in 2020 and 2021 while its gastronomic experience also means it holds two AA Rosettes.
